Today we were going to see how many pushups we could do in 45s.
Tougher of course.
Noticed that I actually could go lower but it was killing my wrists.
I have damaged my wrists during judo practice doing too much wheelbarrow (rullebör), an exercise where you stand in a plank position and the other person lifts up your legs and your moving your hands across the room.
Yesterday the pushup challenge was 45s with a push-up variation. You stood in the regular push up position and then put down your under arms on the floor, up and down.
A bit breatless today. Seems to me that we have to count everytime.
I decided to participate in the 10 Day Push-Up Holiday Challenge.
Everyday will be posted what challenge I need to do.
Yesterday I was suppose to start but my brain was confused, thought that I walked to the train at 4.30 pm but it actually was 5 pm and I have choir rehearsal at 6.45 pm. Did have less time home before the rehearsal and afterwards it was more focus to get in bed on time. Cannot catch a cold this week since I have a race Saturday.
So the first challenge was:
How many push-ups can I do in 30 seconds! Bonus points if you do it twice 🙂
So to be honest, I am not fast at doing pushups but I had to do at last 10 otherwise it would be embarrasing. Result: 13. A bit ache in my back.
Going to be interesting to see how my right elbow will respond to this challenge. Something happened at Dödens Zon beginning of November.
Wednesday I participated in Toughest for the first time
An intensive workout done in small groups with focus on the use of free-weights. Using equipment such as power bars and kettlebells we improve strength, explosivity, endurance and technique
I have decided that I every other week will do an alternative gym training and it seems to me that this exercise suits me just fine. I got sore muscles, first in thighs and groin (=ljumskar) and then the day after core and tired back.
Have had sore muscles, planned to run yesterday but the logistics did not work out so today before I am going to have a nice evening with the alto girls I decided to run instead.
I was sore still and it felt that the pace was a bit lower. But it was nice to run anyway. Need to have my legs moving til my next race next Saturday.
Turned out the pace was not too shabby.
Distance: 2.54K, time: 15.37.6, average heart rate: 139, average pace: 6.09 min/k, max pace: 5.34 min/k, cadence; 174, VO2 Max: 25 ml/kg/min
