#33 – 50 runs in 100 days

37 day, 36 days to go

IMG_1170_140103

Today I had the pleasure of running with Eva from Coach K Runners. We had talked about running over Nöbbelövs mosse.

So first I ran 2k to St Hans hills to meet Eva and then we ran to Nöbbelöv and around Nöbbelövs mosse, the long way.

We had a nice chat with each other about different things during the run, it was a very nice company.

Weather, a bit grey, wet on the ground but no rain.

Temperature: 6oC (43F)

Unfortunately my running computer froze, stopped at 32.05 min, no pulse and no average speed, so the distance is unknown but I would guess approximately 5k and now Eva has informed me that we had ran 6k when we parted.

40 day, 39 days to go

Last run this year was a sunny 10k run and the sky was blue which is not so common nowadays. It has mostly been grey and rain.

It is hard to believe that it is Dec 31 today when you see this during the run. Where is the snow?

Today my legs did not feel light but not too heavy either. I enjoyed running during daytime and with the sun out and the blue sky

Temperature: 7oC (45F)

Average speed today: 6.31 min/k and time: 59.18.9 min

41 day, 40 days to go

In the afternoon I ran 10k. The legs felt heavy, I believe I am still tired after Saturday’s combo. I ran my 10k run backwards, this time I did not miss the first left turn on the bike path but then the second time I did a little detour.

The sky was magnificent this afternoon

The weather was not too shabby, I had to let some cars pass me by before I crossed the car roads.

Temperature: 6oc (43F)

Average speed today: 6.21 min/k and time: 1.01.44 h

43 day, 42 days to go

Someone has planted a seed in my head, something that I have been thinking I might do but have not move forward.

Biked to the gym in the morning and did a test today

IMG_1142_131228_crop

Maybe you Coach K Runners can see what linen I am wearing, one of the linen in the new collection with the zebra line. I can let you know that it does not chafe. I did another test, wearing my black running shorts and my new linen that might be what I am wearing in June.

I am a rookie but why not challenge myself, this could happen. Chose the program Variety because I believe it will be a hilly during the biking session but this program was mostly hilly, incline between 1 and 18, most of the hills were 10 and 14.

The only boring thing with biking at the gym is that you are not getting anywhere but today I was glad I was not doing this test outside.

IMG_1150_131228_1000px

The total time was around 52 min and this year the slowest time was 58 min so there is some hope, the fastest time was 36.49 but I am very sure I will not be among the best. I was quite beat after the biking and the legs felt like jelly.

But I had one more thing to do before the test was over, time to get on the treadmill.

one thing that we hear a lot at the physical training is to remember why we are there, thank you Suz. Started with a speed of 6 min per k (10) but wanted to challenge myself also here. After 1.25k it was time to increase the speed to 10.5, at 2.5k I increased the speed to 11, at 3.5k I increased the speed to 11.5 (5.13) and then at 4k I increased the speed to 5 min per k (12). The run was flat but I suspect it will be a hilly running.

The total time was 28.07 min and the slowest time this year was 37.02 min and the fastest time was 21.31 min and that is not in my league.

I can say that I was a bit sweaty after this test but I am glad I did it.

It was with heavy legs I was biking home and the rest of the afternoon I will look at the ski competitions

44 day, 43 days to go

The plan today was to run 10k solo but then Karin from Coach K Runners asked if someone wanted to run 10-12 km in a 5 min tempo but I felt that I was not in their league and first said that I can run by myself, it is ok. But it did not take very long to get persuaded.

The good thing was that I got out sooner, I have a tendancy to run around 17.30 and now we started at 15.00 and it was much nicer company. We discussed Sövde Triathlon short distance, marathon, Lidingöloppet, Christmas among other things.

So the warriors today was me, Karin and Pierre.

Thanks guys for getting me out as a team 🙂

Weather: Grey, chilly and windy

Temperature: 7oC (45F)

Cannot celebrate Christmas without running. Finally the rain stopped and I ran 10k trying to create a Christmas spirit by wearing some red. A kid said ”Hello Santa” 🙂 and I said ”Merry Christmas” to his family who were out on a walk.

I saw another ”Santa” which put a smile on my face and who else could it be then another Coach K Runner named Suz, we said Merry Christmas to each other and the run continued.

I would have hoped for some snow if I have to celebrate Christmas in Sweden but this is as good as it gets.

Weather: Grey, not too cold

Temperature: 10oC (50F)

Average speed today: 5.47 min/k and time: 56.37.3 min 🙂

#27 – 50 runs in 100 days

52 day, 51 days to go

Tonite it was physical traning with Coach K Runners where it was running included. It has been a rainy day and my weak me told me to not attend but my strong me won the battle and I do not regret it.

bild 1_131219_1000px

We did a lot of boxing exercises which I love.

This physical training was brutal tonite, I am not a sissy but I admit that I was that tonite. Suz made us do the 90oC exercise and when my thighs started to shake the first time I gave up but Suz gave us a pep talk and then I decided that I won’t give anymore

bild 2_131219_750px

Once again I got dyspnea and a severe one at the final interval.

I have started to get some pain in the thighs and I suspect that my upper arms will be a bit stiff tomorrow.

Three times I had to wring out the water from my gloves during the burpee exercises.

53 day, 52 days to go

Tonite I decided to run my 10k run backwards and what I mean by that is to run the end first and the beginning last. That is always a challenge the firs time.

Because it was a bit colder today I was having a windstopper over my fleece jacket and then a reflective vest. Good with layering. It got to be a bit too warm so I took of my windstopper during the run.

The 10k run got to be a bit longer because I have to turn to the left on a main bike path and did not know if it was the first or the second side bike path. They are very close to each other. When I got to the second side bike path (which is not a bike path really, you get to a play ground instead) I had to turn back.

Also the end of the backwards 10k run is the same as the end of the 16k run so I crossed a car road instead of turning left so the only difference was that I was running on the right side instead of the left side on a car road.

Fast run today too but without any dyspnea 🙂

Weather: Dark but not too cold.

Temperature: 6oC (43F)

Average speed today: 5.46 min/k and time: 56.29.5 min 🙂

#25 – 50 runs in 100 days

55 day, 54 days to go

Tonite I ran a 5k run and have now finished 50% of the mandatory runs 🙂

IMG_1116_750px

Was hoping that my legs would be fast today and I felt that they were that from the very beginning. A bit windy part of the run but not too cold.

When I ran up the hilly bike path at the end I knew that I was fast because it was there where I got dyspnea 🙂 so it does not only happen at CKR’s physical training and interval training.

Weather: dark, not too cold

Temperature: 9oC (48F)

Average speed today: 5.34 min/k and time: 28.11.9 min 🙂

57 day, 56 days to go

After had getting up already at 5.30 to be at the sport hall at 7.30  to prepare before the judo competition and being there the whole day it is very refreshing to go out for a run to clear the head.

Ran a short run, 5k

Wa hoping that I would have fast legs tonite and I do not know where I got my energy from but it got faster and faster during the run. So it is possible for me to run fast also in the winter time :-). I usually go down in speed.

Part of the run is on a country road and tonite I do not know if the puddles had increased in amount because they seemed to be everywhere, that is one of the reasons why I have a headlight so I can see them.

Weather: dark, chilly

Temperature: 4oC (39F)

Average speed today: 5.40 min/k and time: 28.29.36 min
